HK SFC welcomes appointment of Executive Director

The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) today welcomes the appointment by the Financial Secretary of Ms Julia Leung as Executive Director of the Investment Products Division for a three-year term effective from 2 March 2015.
Ms Leung will succeed Mrs Alexa Lam who will be retiring at the end of the month.

“Ms Leung brings to the SFC a wealth of experience and knowledge. I look forward to working closely with her in her new role heading the Investment Products Division and as a member of our Board,” the SFC’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr Ashley Alder said.

“I would also like to thank Alexa for her crucial contribution to the development of the SFC and the financial services industry over the years, and in particular her work on Mainland projects which enabled Hong Kong to embed its role as a gateway connecting China to the rest of the world. On behalf of our colleagues, I wish her a very happy retirement,” Mr Alder added
