While the Exchange has the approval of the State Council and the authorization of China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) and the China Financial Futures Exchange (CFFEX) it is not yet open. The exchange was founded jointly by Shanghai Futures Exchange, Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange, Dalian Commodity Exchange, Shanghai Stock Exchange and Shenzhen Stock Exchange on September 8, 2006 in Shanghai.
