Winners of the 2012 TFF-Bloomberg Best Fund Award in Taipei
Bloomberg LP and the Taipei Foundation of Finance (TFF) announced March 7 the winners of the 2012 TFF-Bloomberg Best Fund Award in Taipei. The award recognizes asset management funds for their track record of success, growth and resilience and for promoting transparency and openness in Asian capital markets.
More than 1,150 funds were qualified to compete in the domestic and foreign categories for the TFF-Bloomberg Best Fund Award, a well-known mark of recognition in the Taiwanese fund industry. This year a total of 78 funds were awarded. Under the category “Domestic Fund Award”, 22 funds were recognized based on data and analytics provided by National Taiwan University professors.
The “Foreign Fund Award” winners were selected by TFF based on Bloomberg’s Fund Scoring Model, which analyzes the overall performance and risk exposure of each qualifying fund. Awards went to 56 foreign funds in three categories – three-year, five-year and 10-year performance, including: KGI Pan-Asia Taiwan Enterprises Fund (3 Year), IBT North American Income Trust Fund (3 & 5 Year), Fuh-Hwa Global Fixed Income Fund of Fund (3 & 5 Year), Prudential Financial Emerging Market Selection Fund (3 year), Allianz Global Investors Asian Pacific Dynamic Strategy Fund (5 year), JPM Taiwan Global Balanced Fund (5 Year), Hwa Olympic Global Fund (5 Year) and FSITC Asia Technology Fund (10 Year).
“We are honored to be the data sponsor of the TFF-Bloomberg Best Fund Awards again,” said Matthew Rees, head of sales for Bloomberg’s Asia Pacific region. “Our work to support this award is a clear indicator of Bloomberg’s commitment to supporting transparency and openness in Asian capital markets, providing global and local data and analytics, leading-edge technology and financial information for decision makers.”
The award ceremony will be held at the Far Eastern Plaza Hotel at 14:00 on March 21st 2012. The event is open to all members of the securities, investment trust and advisory industries, along with representatives from winning funds and the press.
