S&P Capital IQ’s Real Time Solutions has extended its low latency connectivity and co-location services to Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx), through its QuantLINK solution. Buy- and sell-side firms in the region will now have access to the offering, while global clients will benefit from an optimised data feed and order routing services.

In recent years, global financial institutions have placed a growing emphasis on the strategic importance of Asia, particularly in contrast to less predictable markets such as Europe. The sustained growth in the region has led to developing and diversifying client demand, which S&P Capital IQ has met with new innovative solutions.

By becoming a service provider at the HKEx next generation data centre, firms will benefit from the high availability and performance that will ensure they remain market-competitive. S&P Capital IQ’s Real Time Solutions now offers a broader scope of connectivity across major financial capitals around the world, as well as several centres in the Asian region.

Stephane Leroy, Vice-President, Head of Global Real Time Solutions commented: “Connecting with the HKEx ecosystem marks another important milestone in our growth in the Asian market. We are keen to continue optimising trading performance for both new and established players, while broadening our offering though additional ‘Points of Presence’, particularly in this key region.”

“The extension of QuantFEED to HKEx will provide a robust and reliable service through which to access our high-performance market data system. We welcome the inclusion of S&P Capital IQ’s Real Time Solutions to our hosting services ecosystem,” concluded HKEx Vice President and Head of Hosting Services, Jonathan Leung.

QuantLINK, the high performance global trading infrastructure and co-location hosting services, interconnects the cores of multiple exchanges with proximity hosting at the source, thus ensuring clients can operate trading systems in close proximity to the exchange matching engine. The solution simultaneously addresses the demand to reduce both connectivity costs and latency, while also having the capability to complement or replace existing legacy infrastructures.
