Singapore-based trading technology firm Neo & Partners Global has launched Asia’s first multi-asset, broker-neutral global trading platform.

Neo & Partners Global announced the launch on Friday July 18 and said that the platform will enable electronic trading by funds, trading firms and overseas companies which wanted to strengthen their trading capabilities in Singapore.

The “trading atrium”, as the new platform will be called, will give access to major global exchanges, including the Singapore Exchange (SGX).

The platform has a total of 52 professionally equipped dealing desks that can accommodate as many as nine trading institutions.

The multi-asset platform will allow participants to trade a range of products including equities, commodity derivatives and foreign currencies.

The SGX’s head of sales and clients, Chew Sutat, said that Neo & Partners Global’s new platform would “complement” the SGX’s commitment to expanding the trading community, and would support new and existing participants in its securities and derivatives markets.

The Neo & Partners Global platform is the latest of several brokers’ arcades to open in Singapore, which is rapidly growing as a commodity trading hub.
