SGX Welcomes SinoPac Securities As New Member

Singapore Exchange (SGX) on 23 June welcomed SinoPac Securities (Asia) Limited to its derivatives market as a Trading Member.

Chew Sutat, Head of Sales and Clients at SGX, said: “We are pleased that SinoPac Securities (Asia) is joining our community of derivatives trading members. SGX is committed to strengthening our distribution network across Asia, especially in Greater China, and I am confident SinoPac Securities will participate actively in our suite of Asian index derivatives including the China A50 futures.”

Dr. Stephen Wang, Chairman of SinoPac Securities (Asia) Limited, said: “We are delighted to be accepted as a trading member of SGX. This is an important step in enhancing our investment service capability and expanding the range of product offerings to our clients in the Greater China region. We look forward to working closely with SGX in promoting its products on our platform and having a productive and fruitful relationship in the future.”

The admission of SinoPac Securities (Asia) brings the number of Trading Members for SGX’s derivatives market to 47. The derivatives market also has 27 Clearing Members. In addition, there are 11 Clearing Members for the clearing of OTC-traded financial derivatives on SGX AsiaClear while the securities market has 26 Trading Members and 26 Clearing Members.
