SGX Welcomes KGI Capital as First Derivatives Clearing Member from Taiwan

Singapore Exchange (SGX) welcomes KGI Capital (Singapore) Pte Ltd as a Clearing and Trading Member of its derivatives market.

“We are excited to have KGI Capital as our first Taiwanese clearing member in Singapore, affirming the strong value brokers from Taiwan see in our derivatives market. Including KGI Capital which is also a trading member, seven Taiwanese firms are members of our derivatives market. As the world’s largest offshore Asian equity derivatives market, SGX is committed to delivering to its members and investors, a wider network of participants, new products and improved efficiency,” said Mr Chew Sutat, Head of Sales and Clients at SGX.

SGX’s derivatives market has achieved record open interest in recent months. Open interest reached a new record high of 3.14million contracts on 26 February.

“We are pleased to be accepted as a trading and clearing member of Singapore Exchange. By joining SGX, we strengthen our ongoing efforts to expand our business into the Asia-Pacific market and enhance our commitment to the region,” said Mr Samuel Ho, Executive Director, KGI Futures.
