SET to improve Internet Trading Technology
Settrade.com Co., Ltd. (Settrade), under The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) group, is planning to improve Internet trading platform and expand more capacity by the end of this year in order to cope with increasing trading volume.
Settrade, the operator of Internet trading platforms for trading equities and derivatives, and investment technology to securities companies, also has a long-term development plan to support new products of the SET and derivatives market, as well as to launch a new options trading program which is more user friendly, Pakorn Peetathawatchai, a director of Settrade said, adding the improvement will comply with new trading system of the SET which has been planned to launch next year.
“To increase stability of trading system, Settrade.com is developing its system continuously. So far, the system has been improved to cope with new function and products, such as silver futures, ETF. We now prepare our system to cover the trading of Oil futures which will be launched in the near term,” Pakorn
said.
At the end of August, trading volume via Internet rose to 24.5 percent of total trading volume for securities trading and increased to 32.5 percent of total trading volume for derivatives trading.
Settrade, formed in 2000, provides Internet trading platform and trading system for securities companies which offer a broader range of trading channels, including mobile phone and Tablet, and facilitate investors. It also develops computerized online securities trading systems.
