Re-appointment and appointment to MAS Board of Directors

The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) announced that Mr Lim Hng Kiang, Minister for Trade and Industry, has been re-appointed to MAS’ Board of Directors, as Deputy Chairman, for a further period of two years with effect from 1 June 2012.

Professor Tan Chorh Chuan, President, National University of Singapore, has also been appointed to its Board of Directors, for a two-year period from 1 June 2012. Professor Tan is also the Deputy Chairman of the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), and current Chair of the International Alliance of Research Universities.

Mr Teo Ming Kian, Chairman, Mediacorp Pte Ltd, stepped down from the Board from 1 June 2012. MAS is grateful to Mr Teo for his active contributions on the Board over the last five and a half years.
