MCX-SX Shifts Data Centre And Co-location To Bandra Kurla Complex

Within a week of shifting its corporate office to its new premises located at the premier Business District – Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) in Mumbai, MCX Stock Exchange (MCX-SX) has shifted its data center and co-location from Exchange Square and FT tower respectively to Bandra Kurla Complex.

The migration includes co-location, front-end and back-end information systems too. Feed Vendors, Depositories, Clearing Banks and Custodians are also connected to the new data centers. The testing of connectivity was concluded successfully on Sunday i.e. August 31, 2014. Now, the Exchange has commenced live trading from new data center w.e.f. September 1, 2014.

Mr. Saurabh Sarkar, MD & CEO of MCX-SX said, “The board has identified the roadmap for turnaround and this was one of the important milestones. Shifting data Centre to a reputed partner like Tata Communications Limited will give MCX-SX the much needed reduction in cost and maintaining world class service standards. The focus will now be on developing consistent and sustainable volumes on our exchange.”
