Low Latency Solutions Seminar A Great Success
Our low latency trading solutions seminar held December 2nd preceding the Futures Industry Association (FIA) conference in Singapore was a great success. With 79 attendees in the standing room only venue at the St. Regis hotel the 90 minute event ran without a hitch.
As the keynote speaker I gave a 5 minute speech on the Low Latency Landscape. While I was noticeably nervous I did offer an accurate overview of the low latency environment.
Next came Stephane Lannoy the MD for Realtime Systems RTS APAC who laid out the road map and explained the strategy RTS will employ in Asia. Vinesh Dinnoo, Sales Manager based in Singapore, offered up an articulate overview of Tango, RTS’s low latency algorithm trading application. While he spoke for 30 minutes his high level overview barely scratched the surface of the applications capability.
John Knuff the Director of Business Development of Equinix was on hand to present the final part of the low latency trading solutions seminar. He touched on the firms approach to data centers and low latency connectivity worldwide. His polished performance made a great anchor to what was otherwise a very successful seminar.
The Q&A session yielded queries on creating an arbitrage algo, price feed and aggregating tick data.
I’d like to offer up a special thanks to those behind the scene the made the workshop possible. Christophe Rilinger, Vice President Marketing & Communications and Elisabeth Samuels, Marketing & Communications Manager at RTS
