KVH Appoints Richard Warley as CEO
KVH Co., Ltd. (“KVH”) announced August 31 that Mr. Richard Warley has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of KVH, effective September 1, 2010. Mr. Warley brings to KVH extensive leadership experience in the global managed services and data center businesses. He succeeds Miyuki Suzuki, who will remain as a Representative Director of KVH and who has been appointed as Vice Chairman of the KVH Board effective September 1, 2010.
Prior to joining KVH, Mr. Warley was Managing Director and Head of International Business for Savvis Inc., serving North America, Western Europe, South Africa and the Asia Pacific region. Before joining Savvis, he was Director, Investment Banking, Telecommunications Group at Merrill Lynch in the emerging telecommunications and internet infrastructure markets. Most recently, he was a Managing Director and Global CFO for the Information, Communications and Technology group of Devonshire Investors, a private investment firm, where he supported strategic initiatives for information technology businesses in Europe and Asia, including KVH.
Mr. Warley began his career with Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer as an attorney , and thereafter held banking roles in London and New York at Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette and Cazenove & Co. He has worked extensively throughout the Asia Pacific region, including Tokyo and Singapore, as well as in London, New York and other cities in Western Europe. He holds a B.A. and M.Sc. from the London School of Economics. He received his law degree from the College of Law in London.
