Kim Man Li Joins BAML
Bank of America Corp. (BAC) has hired Kim Man Li, former head of Asian electronic trading sales at Goldman Sachs Group Inc. (GS), as a director and head of product development for Asia Pacific equity execution services in Hong Kong.
Li will join the bank’s Merrill Lynch unit, reporting to Ryan Holsheimer, head of Asia Pacific equity execution services in Hong Kong, and Roger Anerella, global head of electronic trading in New York, according to an internal memo. Li will take up his new role Oct. 3, said Mark Tsang, a Bank of America spokesman in Hong Kong.
“Kim has been a pioneering figure in the electronic trading space in Asia serving on numerous industry boards,” Holsheimer said in the memo.
Li spent 11 years at Goldman Sachs, according to the memo. He left the company in April as head of pan-Asian electronic trading sales in Hong Kong. Connie Ling, the spokeswoman for Goldman Sachs in Hong Kong, declined to comment. Li could not be reached for comment.
