Highlights

Securities Market

  • The average daily turnover for the first ten months of 2014 was $65,797 million, an increase of 4 per cent when compared with $63,207 million for the same period last year.
  • There were 99* newly listed companies for the first ten months of 2014, an increase of 57 per cent when compared with the 63* for the same period last year.
  • Funds raised through IPOs for the first ten months of 2014 was $138,555 million, an increase of 97 per cent when compared with $70,245 million for the same period last year.
  • Total funds raised (including from IPOs) for the first ten months of the year was $695,094 million, an increase of 212 per cent when compared with $223,144 million for the same period last year.

Derivatives Market

  • The average daily turnover of futures and options for the first ten months of 2014 was 538,658 contracts, an increase of 1 per cent when compared with the 533,285 contracts for the same period last year.
  • The average daily turnover of after-hours futures trading (AHFT) reached a record high of 16,994 contracts in October 2014.
  • On 16 October 2014, the turnover of after-hours futures trading (AHFT) reached a record high of 35,740 contracts.
  • On 17 October 2014, the turnover of Mini H-shares Index Futures reached a record high of 22,016 contracts.

ATS Transactions

The total turnover of automated trading services’ (ATS) transactions for October 2014 was $20,832 million (1.5 % of the securities market total turnover).
