Fortis Clearing Announces Global High Speed Network

“Fortis Clearing have built and manage, in house, a proprietary state of the art Global high speed Network (FCGN). During a 12 month design and build process, best of breed providers were selected to provide low latency intercontinental land and subsea cable routes for fully resilient global connectivity.

Local Dark Fibre and ‘DWDM’ Metropolitan links combined with ‘Clear Channel’ bandwidth provide Fortis Clearing with what it believes to be one of the fastest and most diverse global trading networks in the world. Harnessing the latest technology, the FCGN links the three regions of Asia, Europe and the Americas into one, connecting 24 of Fortis Clearing’s global hosting, proximity and collocation data centres together. Alongside Fortis Clearing’s Local hosting facilities, the FCGN allows it’s clients to route trading traffic from their offices or Fortis Clearing’s rack space in one location to a trading venue or execution platform either ‘next door’ or the other side of the world. The FCGN covers centres as diverse as Sydney, Singapore, New York (pending), Chicago, Tokyo, Osaka, Frankfurt, and London.

By combining the FCGN, global collocation and proximity client hosting, low latency exchange access, multiple global ISV offering, and global correlated clearing services, Fortis Clearing believes there are very few contenders that can rival its service offering for trading member and non members on the worlds derivative and equity exchanges.
