Financial Technologies Group, India’s leading provider of trading technology solutions and a leader in creating next-generation financial exchanges, has announced the appointment of Mr. Kjell Asserlind as Head, International Sales – Exchange Technology for Financial Technologies Middle East (FTME). FTME is a wholly owned subsidiary of Financial Technologies (India) Ltd., the flagship company of the Group and a market leader in providing technology solutions to the transactional financial services industry.

Mr. Asserlind brings with him more than 20 years of experience in technology sales and marketing, of which, almost 11 years have been in the realm of trading technologies and financial markets. He was associated with NASDAQ OMX’s sales team for more than a decade and held the position of Vice President prior to joining FTME. Throughout his tenure with NASDAQ OMX, he was focused on emerging markets of Asia, Africa and Europe, and was instrumental in its success in providing Trading and Clearing system to many of international exchanges.

Prior to joining NASDAQ OMX, Mr. Asserlind has held important strategic-level positions with reputed organizations and was the Managing Director of a software consulting company. Mr. Asserlind is an authority on energy trading and technologies and delivers presentations on these topics at various global events such as Singapore International Energy Week, Association of Power Exchanges (APEx) and Annual Conference Independent Power Producers Forum, among others.

Commenting on his appointment, Mr. Arshad Khan, Director FTME said,” We are happy to have Mr. Asserlind on board.
