CQG Connects to the Osaka Securities Exchange J-GATE Derivatives Trading Platform
CQG, Inc., the industry-leading order execution, charting, and analytics provider for global, electronically-traded securities, announced February 15 that it has connected its Hosted Exchange Gateways to the Osaka Securities Exchange (OSE) J-GATE derivatives trading platform.
By establishing Direct Market Access to OSE, CQG further builds on its diverse offering of trading connectivity to Asia-Pacific exchanges. OSE’s J-GATE is accessible to CQG customers worldwide via CQG Integrated Client, the company’s flagship platform, or CQG Trader. Nissan Century will be CQG’s first FCM partner using CQG’s J-GATE connection to provide clearing services.
The high-speed exchange access enables traders to use CQG’s suite of server-side tools, including CQG Spreader, and the recently released Market Aggregation expression, for execution and management of latency-critical trading strategies involving OSE instruments.
“Direct connectivity to OSE reflects our continued efforts to provide customers with the fastest and most reliable trading access to global exchanges,” said Leighton Andrew, CQG’s Head of Sales for Asia Pacific. “Our connection to OSE is an important addition to our hosted DMA offering. Traders connecting to Asian markets through CQG now have even greater opportunities to execute strategies across key global exchanges.”
With nearly 200 million derivatives contracts traded in 2010, OSE is a premier exchange for derivatives trading. OSE lists the Nikkei 225 mini futures contract, one of the most active equity index futures contracts worldwide, as well as full-size Nikkei 225 contracts and the Nikkei 300 and Russell/Nomura Prime Indexes. The exchange’s J-GATE platform introduces dramatically increased volume throughput and decreased order latency and provides order depth information.
Michio Yoneda, Chief Executive Officer of OSE, said, “OSE is very pleased to work with established vendors such as CQG. We believe that ISVs are key strategic partners in facilitating the ever-advanced trading needs of our market participants. CQG’s new derivatives trading connection to J-GATE is testament to the increasing focus on Japan by the international trading community. We believe that this commitment will mutually benefit and further strengthen CQG’s position as one of the leading global ISVs, and elevate OSE’s position as one of the premier derivatives markets in Asia.”
“CQG’s commitment to building its network of Hosted Exchange Gateways continues,” said Josef Schroeter, CQG’s President. “The addition of OSE is another important step in our drive to provide trading access to exchanges worldwide.”
CQG’s network of Hosted Exchanges Gateways connects traders to more than forty exchanges globally. The hosted Direct Market Access is a cost-effective solution for traders, allowing for high-speed order execution and sophisticated trade management without additional infrastructure costs.
