China Financial Futures Exchange and TMX Group Sign Memorandum of Understanding

China Financial Futures Exchange Incorporated (CFFEX) and TMX Group announced on 10 March that the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance their understanding of each others’ businesses and to evaluate further business opportunities. Hui Mei, Board Secretary of CFFEX and Brenda Hoffman, Chief Information Officer, Group Head of Technology, TMX Group participated in the signing ceremony.

Under the MoU, TMX Group and CFFEX may evaluate potential opportunities for cooperation, including the provision of advisory and consultation services concerning risk management, business strategy, market surveillance and new product development.

Top leadership on both sides applauded the signing of the MoU. Zhang Shenfeng, Chairman of CFFEX, expressed his support in the following statement: “The signing of this MoU is of great significance to CFFEX as TMX Group is an important partner in our internationalization strategy.” Tom Kloet, CEO, TMX Group added: “We are very excited to enter into this MoU with CFFEX as we look to broaden our activities in the Chinese market. Our two organizations share a strong commitment to exploring the meaningful benefits we can derive from our relationship.”

“I sincerely hope that together with TMX Group, we can take this opportunity to enhance communication, build a closer partnership, work towards more collaboration and achieve common strategic goals.” said Hui Mei.
