ASX Drops VolumeMatch

Following the launch of ASX Centre Point Block the VolumeMatch Market will be discontinued from 10 November 2012.

The removal of VolumeMatch will follow the schedule described below. Participants are encouraged to test their applications and be mindful of updates related to the removal of VMB securities.

The below schedule provides detail regarding the removal of the VolumeMatch Market in the ASX Trade Production Environment. This schedule timeline is in line with the ASX Trade Q4 2012 Central System which is due to be released into Production on Monday 19th November.

Effective Date Description
Monday 12th November VolumeMatch Market will be placed into a CLOSE Trading Session State in the ASX Trade Production Environment
Monday 19th November No further listings of VolumeMatch securities in the ASX Trade Production Environment.
Please note: the ASX Trade Release – Q4 2012 Central System will be released into Production on this date.
Wednesday 28th November Removal of VolumeMatch A-B Instrument Series and Instrument Classes, (approximately 418 series and classes will be removed)
Thursday 29th November Removal of VolumeMatch C-F Instrument Series and Instrument Classes, (approximately 450 series and classes will be removed)
Friday 30th November Removal of VolumeMatch G-M Instrument Series and Instrument Classes, (approximately 580 series and classes will be removed)
Monday 3rd December Removal of VolumeMatch N-R Instrument Series and Instrument Classes, (approximately 420 series and classes will be removed)
Tuesday 4th December Removal of VolumeMatch S-Z Instrument Series and Instrument Classes, (approximately 460 series and classes will be removed)
Friday 7th December Users’ broadcasts and access to the VolumeMatch Market will be removed.
Monday 10th December VolumeMatch Market will be removed from ASX Trade.

Users may experience increased login times in the production environment during the removal process (between Wednesday 28th November and Monday 10th December).
